Mimi turned eight this past month in April and she asked for a Pusheen cat party decorations. The problem was that there was literally no decorations… Meh! The only one I found was cupcake toppers and what good does that do for a mama that was on a time crunch? I was already super busy with our Spring Break Trip, so I was instantly panicking. Well, obviously from the pictures that it was a success for me to put together something. If you are panicking on what to do for your kid’s Pusheen Birthday Party… no fret! I’m here to share with you what I ended up doing.
But first, I want you to take a breath and relax. Woo…. sah…!!

Okay, Let’s go!
I learned this trick a while back from my daughter’s Sailor Moon Birthday Party and that was another one where I was like, “Seriously? You guys pick the most hardest decors to find!” Lol, Well I love this website called Halegrafx for printable banners you can search for and they usually have many themes. You can find the Pusheen Banner here!
It’s super cute because it’s a pastel pink and neutral enough for you to add other colors in the birthday theme. For instance, she picked pastel pink, pastel green, and pastel purple! By the way, this felt flower that you see here is from a Faux Flower Garland that I found at Target.
It comes with I think eight felt flowers with the leaf garland and I found this in the Spring decoration section at Target. The flowers colors are pastel pink and a darker pink which still matches our color theme. If you look at closely in the pictures in this post that I just used some twine that I already had on hand to put them up. It can be annoying, but thumbtacks always work!
Do you agree that you move towards a birthday party theme if the cake is for sure? At least for me it is. The moment the cake decorator said that they could definitely do it, the stress level just went down tremendously! I was like, YEEESSSSSS!! I showed her a photo I found from google and she replicated it so well. I seriously love it! My daughter saw her cake and went, “AWWWWWW!!!”
My daughter MImi has allergies so I always go to Corina Bakery for all the cake and cupcakes. If you live near Tacoma, Washington and you need that option, check them out! The prices aren’t too bad because I ordered cupcakes as well.
The Yummy Cupcakes
Look at these Pusheen Cupcake Toppers. Aren’t they cute? Like I said, that’s the only decor I can find. Pusheen is holding a pink or green heart/star. It comes with 24 pieces and since I ordered 12 cupcakes, I had half leftover. You know what’s awesome though? These are plastic so you can wash it and use it again. Don’t throw it away!
By the way, the flavor of the cake and the cupcakes are strawberry and vanilla. The icing is made with strawberries so it created a natural pink icing! Isn’t that cute? The flavor is so good, it has the perfect amount of sweetness so it was such a nice dessert.
The Other Cute Things
I needed a little bit more Pusheen stuff on the table spread, but I also wanted to achieve it by ease and you know, not so costly. I went to google and just searched for Pusheen photos and printed it out on a 5×7 photo paper. You can do 4×6 too, but I found these super cute 5×7 frames at TJ Maxx at $5.99 each.
I got two in an ash wooden color and two in white. I love the colors because I can reuse it for other things afterwards or for another birthday decoration. These Pusheen characters are so cute with their little cupcakes and it matches well since we got cupcakes, too!
When you really think about it, these are pretty affordable as I did not spend much with the decorations. For a kiddo with allergies, another fun and easy desert are these oreo puddings in a small graham cracker crust. These are super cheapo! I used one cup of almond milk with one oreo pudding package to ensure it’s thickness consistency. I also crushed up some more oreo cookies and folded it in. Oh my gosh, the little kiddos loved it!!!!
Alright moms and dads, I hope you found these ideas helpful. Remember, you do not need to do extravagant things for birthday parties, especially if you’re on a time crunch or if you need it to be more affordable. Of course, if you are able, then go for it! For those of us who cannot do that all the time, don’t be bound by guilt trips. Children are super thankful with a lot of things. They see more of the good than the bad. For example, we couldn’t really invite classmates because I think she didn’t even have really close classmates due to Covid, but she still had an amazing time with family. Last year, we only spent it with just the five of us and she still saw nothing wrong with it! Isn’t that a beautiful soul? As parents, we just have to teach them to be thankful with all things whether its little or big. If we know how to handle the little things we have, we sure will know what to do with the big!
With that said, she had a blast opening up her presents. So thankful for the family and friends who helped put a smile on this little girl’s face, hehe! Can you tell she just loves cute things? Lol! Alrighty, this is the end for today’s letter. I hope you know that you are loved and that you have a beautiful day today! See you later!
