Girls 10th Birthday Party Ideas

Oh, the big ten. T-E-N. You know, the two digit age that most parents dread to admit that their baby is no longer a baby – but a tween? 10! She wasn’t really interested in having cartoon themed birthday parties, but still wanted a pretty and cute birthday theme! She picked out the colors and somehow… it turned out great!

Blush pink, coral, gold, and mint are so pretty together! The table spread is easy to put together once we decided on colors. Believe me… before the colors, I was so out of my mind trying to find a good theme for her!

THE CAKE

When we were at Party City, we came across a birthday banner that had her color scheme AND it had cute cats on it. That was when it was complete and she LOVES the cats within her theme. For the cake, I went to Safeway and the baker made her a super adorable cake! I love the flower crown on the cat!

FUN TIP: Buy a cake holder hehe, it’s AMAZING. I can’t believe it took me this long to get it!

THE BALLOONS

I cannot stress how much balloons add to the decorations! They’re affordable and add so much more fun. Party city always has everything I need to complete the theme.

TEN

I don’t like to spend a lot of money on decorations because well, with three kids… it can get costly. That’s when I turn to DIY! YAY! Okay, okay… I know that DIY can take so much longer than just buying but:

  1. You pick your own colors!
  2. You choose size, design, and everything!
  3. It’s fun (maybe)
  4. In the end of it all, YOU DID THIS MAMA!

I visited local craft stores to find the base board, flowers, and the TEN letters. I spray painted the letters and the baseboard, then hot glued the flower pieces!

COLOR COORDINATED MASON JARS

The other DIY I did was these mason jars. I can’t believe how easy it was to do this. Yes, it took time and I mean a lot of time, but was very simple. I used the same spray paint for the gold jars which is Krylon Metallic Spray Paint but for the other one, I used Folkart Sunset Rose chalk paint. After it was finished, I used a clear wax to seal it all! Oh of course, you’ve GOT to tie some twine to make it look extra pretty.

DESSERT SPREAD

You can’t forget the deserts, cupcakes are the easiest to incorporate the colors. The four set white serving plates that you see here makes everything look just so clean and presentable. I found these at amazon at such a good price because in my local store it was so expensive just for one!

PARTY FAVORS

Last but not least, the party favors are fairly simple as well. I learned throughout the years that kids don’t really care to have so many things in these bags. Pick one or two items that you know they will like and done!

These see through plastic bags with the gold bow is so cute, but so elegant as well. These were found at the Party City wedding favors area! The pink tags that says “With Love and Thanks” were found at the baby shower area, isn’t that great? Don’t stick to one aisle marked for birthdays!

My big girl loved the outcome of her birthday party and had so much fun! I hope this 10th birthday party decoration ideas helped you find some inspiration. I know that it can be tough to watch your little girl grow up so quickly, but she will hold on to these memories dear to her heart! Thank you for visiting my blog and until next time!

Thank you, I’m so glad you and your daughter love the ideas! The circle things I found them at party city in the birthday character aisles. I can’t remember where I got the table cloth, but it is a light champagne color that was sort of see through and I put it on top of a white table cloth.

Disregard the banner question! Did you get the pink, gold and aqua balloons at Party City? I’m not seeing these colors. Thanks in advance for any help!

I did get them at party city. It was in my local store, I found the gold in the wedding aisle, I think the pink and pastel green might have been in the baby aisle. If you can’t find them in your local party city store, I found these closest colors at amazon: https://amzn.to/3bwHGsu

Could you please provide details on the baseboard used to display “TEN”? Where did you get it?

Hi! I actually just found a wooden rectangular base at hobby lobby in their DIY section. I stumbled upon it randomly… ever since I saw that, I decided to make the TEN decor lol. I painted it white, then glued the TEN and the flower decor there. I hope this helps!!

    Hi there
I love every little thing about your girls birthday party.
You are such a talented Mum. Would you mind sharing what the little square treats are? Mouse? If so would you mind sharing the rest recipes. They look super gorgeous. Thanks

Thank you so much! Those square treats are actually from Costco. It was a mousse pudding type of desert yes. Half of them tasted good, but some were just okay lol. I think it would taste better if you would make your own using those pudding packets, and then sprinkling shaved chocolates on top to make it look pretty!
