The time is getting closer and closer to the new school year. That means it’s time to get ready and for me that means making sure that my kids has the proper organization for a smooth year! I have four items to share that can help your kids keep their room organized. I love shopping at IKEA because it’s affordable and minimalistic.
FJANTIG HOOK
These hooks are the cutest I’ve ever seen. In my opinion, it’s great for all ages but it is especially cute in Mimi’s room. It has a playful feel to it. I love how these are modeled after chairs! As you can see, you can put anything on it: a jacket, a backpack, a purse and I should have taken a picture of it… but she makes her animal finger puppets sit on there, too.
BJARNUM FOLDING HOOK
My husband found these folding hooks and he attached it to the kids loft bed frame. It’s pretty awesome because it literally is a space saver! These are very compact and extremely sleek looking. It comes in a pack of three for $9.99 at the ikea website. My son Ezekiel also puts his sweater on there, too as well as his Sunday school bag!
When the kids leave for school, they just simple take their backpack and close it so that it isn’t in the way. Safety first, you wouldn’t want to accidentally walk into it!
SORTERA RECYCLING BIN
Ahh… This is what we will be expecting is TONS and TONS of homework, lessons, and whatever else they bring home. I remember last year, I would literally empty this bin every couple of weeks! It’s important to have recycling bins so that the kids know to recycle the papers that they don’t need anymore. It teaches them to practice recycling. Awesome, right?
This is $9.99 at IKEA and we also have the big one for our recycling bin in the house downstairs but this small one is perfect for the kids rooms. I need to get one for Mileina’s room since she will be starting Kindergarten in the fall. It comes with a lid so their room can look tidy! Who wants to see all the mess? Not mama.
DOKUMENT LETTER TRAY
This is technically a letter tray, but I like using these for the kids paper organizer. For the top tier, I notice my kids place their books or important items. In the middle, there’s lined paper as well as plain paper. The kids used the bottom tier for math lessons so that they can go back to it in case they forget to do something. It’s pretty great!
This is $9.99 as well from IKEA. I’m not sure if you have an IKEA by you, but I was able to find links of these on Amazon in my Shop-It list below. The only one that I can’t find an amazon link is the recycling bin so if you really love it, you might have to order from IKEA. If you notice the price difference, it might be because amazon prime includes the shipping and tax fee on there.
