Don’t Forget About Mama!

packing tips for mom ez packing cubes

Family trips are something I always cherish and look forward to during school breaks or long weekends. It’s a time where we make memories so our children remember the fun moments they’ve had as a family when they were little. Of course, as the mama bear, I am always the one to pack for everyone, and I am not complaining because this Mama loves to pack! Sometimes I could unintentionally put myself least in the list of whom to pack for and forget the important things I need to pack for myself. For this family trip, I decided to pack my bag first and interestingly… I finished my packing duties a lot faster this way! Two of the most needed items whenever I travel are hoodies and comfortable socks. It’s interesting to think about how something little as socks can make an impact to how our days are like. We are mostly spending our time outside when we travel and wearing the right socks is crucial to all the walking we do.

I also wear socks when I lounge around or when I’m sleeping at night. It’s a must when I live in such a cold state during this winter season. My go to pick lately has been this extremely comfortable Bamboo socks by MD. I love bamboo mix materials because while they keep your feet warm during winter months, it feels so comfortable and breathable that my feet stays dry even wearing my boots! No matter how much walking I do, I love that these specific socks wicks the moisture to keep me feeling comfortable and dry. I specifically love the quarter high size because I mostly wear the low style boots! I also love wearing the low cut socks when I’m sleeping. It provides the perfect warmth for my feet without feeling too hot under my blanket.

There are four different sizes that you can choose from. Aside from my favorite one this season shown second from the right, the quarter high size, there are also low cut, no show,  and the crew socks. The sizes shown here are 9-11 and these both fit my husband and I. I love how we both have different preference over socks because I get to keep all the quarter high and low cut socks while he wears all the crew and no show socks. I only have the black and gray colors but there are also white ones as well.

Whenever I pack perfectly how I planned, it sets the tone for our time during our trip. Everyone has everything they need, and as the mama of this family, it keeps me feeling accomplished and able to enjoy our time together without stress. In the midst of thinking about my family’s needs, I love knowing and realizing that it’s important to take care of my own needs as well.
