The newest eyeshadow palette by Charlotte Tilbury has recently released and I am in love with the color story in this one. There are so many matte shadows in this palette and if you know Charlotte, that’s a rarity! Of course, there’s still shimmers also, not to worry. I really like how Charlotte Tilbury expanded the pillow talk line and in this specific eyeshadow palette… it caters to all skin tones from fair to deep! This post contains affiliate links*

This is called Charlotte Tilbury Instant Eye Pillow Talk Palette and The pillow talk line’s packaging has changed as well! The usual burgundy packaging has changed to a pastel pink packaging within the pillow talk family. I really LOVE the gold packaging on the actual palette. It is so feminine and elegant.

Her instant palettes are always divided into four looks and within those looks, there is a simple guide! Charlotte’s guide for an easy look is called Prime, Enhance, & Smoke! Prime is what you would begin by brightening your eyelids and even on the lower lash line. Enhance is what we call a transition color, and smoke is to deepen up the outer V. Of course, you can use the colors however you please, but this is just an EASY and basic guide! LOVE THAT.

In this instant eye palette, the looks are called Day, Desk, Date, & Dream. These are so gorgeous and I love how there are different UNDERTONES!

Looking at the DAY look, it’s the most similar to the original pillow talk palette quad. If you own the Charlotte Tilbury Palette of Pops in pillow talk, this is a PERFECT pairing so you can shine even more.
The DESK look is so pretty. I mean, it’s the perfect office look but it brightens you up that you don’t even have to worry about looking tired. The peachy coral undertone is so mesmerizing and instantly brightens up your eyes without the shimmer, it’s very suitable for that desk look!

The DATE look is so amazing because there’s three different shades of deeper shades of brown so you don’t have to worry about if the shade is too light or too dark. The shades can also be transition shades, and it can also be used for a smoky eye look!
The DREAM looks scary, doesn’t it? But really, it’s not! I don’t know how she does it, but her shadows always looks natural on the eyes. Plus, if you mix the shades in the other looks… that can definitely tone down the dream colors if that’s your jam.

These swatches are taken on my iPhone 10s in natural lighting and unedited. I find that this is the best way to get the true swatches. Do you see how the dream swatches aren’t too crazy? Her mixes of colors have a natural tone to them that it’s very wearable for a dreamy date night!

I have compared the swatches from the Instant Eye Pillow Talk Palette to the Charlotte Tilbury Darling palette that came out recently as well. These aren’t QUITE the exact shame shades… but it is VERY close. Like if you would put them on your eyes and blend them out, it would be similar.
DIFFERENCES
The Darling Prime 1 shade is very light though and not as champagne as the one from the Pillow Talk so that one is very different. You have to ZOOOOOOM in on my arms to see it, haha. I tried.
The Darling Smoke 3 is also different and I don’t see a similar shade in the Pillow Talk palette. In the picture, it looks like it can be similar to Desk 2 but desk 2 is actually more coral.
SIMILARITIES
The Darling Enhance 2 is similar to the Pillow Talk Day 2 color. Darling Prime 4 is similar to the Dream 1. Darling Enhance 5 is similar to Desk 3 (although the tone looks a bit different). Darling Smoke 6 looks the same as Date 3.

Charlotte Tilbury is known for her elegant packaging that just makes you feel so… pretty! Haha, and I love the little touches she puts in the palette that doesn’t make it look tacky. Look at the small print of her name in the front of the packaging and the star symbol on the mirror. I just love it!

Natural look using the DAY and DESK colors, plus the darkest shade in DATE. I used DAY 3 as a transition color, DAY 1 as inner corner highlight and lid color. I used DESK 1 to buff the top of the DAY 3 transition color. Finally DATE 3 for a little depth on the outer corner. Then mixed DATE 2 and DATE 3 for my lower lash line and DESK 1 to buff it out.

I paired the eye look with the original pillow talk lip liner and lipstick for that peachy pink shade.

The darling palette is better for all around use, I think. It’s also better for travel! The pillow talk one is nice too in regards of quality, but I’m not sure how safe it is for travel haha… but if you don’t travel often, pillow talk one is super nice!!
