It’s birthday time, it’s Spring time… you guessed it, we had a bunny birthday party for little Mimi. It’s truly funny how my Spring baby ends up really loving and adoring bunnies. I was all for it because it made it SO easy for me to find decorations.
First off, the only reason the color theme is hot pink and garden green is because of those two bunnies with the flower crown around its head that you see there. That’s what happens sometimes, totally random item just decides the whole theme. Amazing, right?
I was at Hobby Lobby with my hubby for a totally different reason, and as we walked in there was just SO many bunnies everywhere. I decided then and there I was just going to look for her decorations here.
I usually shop at Party City, but lately I’ve been enjoying shopping at Hobby Lobby, Michael’s, & Joann’s for party decor. Most of the decor you will see in this post is from Hobby Lobby. The flower garland, the baskets, the three-tiered tray, and the flower bush (that I used for decorating) are all from there!
The flower garland is made from two different garlands that I twisted into one. One was way too plain and too thin to make a proper decor for this Spring birthday party. I actually really have no idea how I found this hot pink garland with the leafy green leaves. Remember earlier I said I wanted the color theme from the two cute bunnies flower crown? I really can’t believe sometimes how everything just falls together nicely.
I paired that with this white flower garland. It does have a blush pink tone to it as well as you can see above, but together… these two garlands are perfect together!
Let’s talk about this birthday banner. I know it’s a little difficult to see because my window is right behind it, but this burlap happy birthday banner is beyond amazing with our flowery bunny theme. Doesn’t it just make everything feel so much prettier in a hobo type of way? No clue how to explain it but it’s JUST SO CUTE!
On the strings of the burlap banner, I did add some white mini flower bush that I also found at Hobby Lobby. I literally just cut two stems, taped them together, and then taped it unto the banner strings. I like super easy stuff! How about you?
My little girl was so happy with all her birthday decor. She was ooh-ing and aah-ing with every thing I added as I was decorating. The bunny headband that she is wearing is from Etsy. You can find it on ViviBellesBows shop, she has tons!
Ahhh, the cake! You know we had to do a bunny cake. I mean, that’s no question, right? I LOVED how this cake turned out. So, so, so, so cute, adorable, gorgeous, and pretty! That was my reaction when my husband brought home the cake.
If you thought I made this, you’re very wrong, lol. This cake was made by Corina Bakery in Tacoma, WA. Mimi has a few allergies like you know, dairy and egg, and we are so incredibly blessed we’ve got a bakery like Corina Bakery. The vegan cake was DELISH as it was pretty. Take a look at more pictures of the cake and table spread!
For the party favors, I keep it very minimal because I know kids don’t really end up using or eating a lot of the items that are in there. I pick one or two small toys plus a couple of candies. Sometimes I’ll add a pencil or eraser that I know that they’ll use.
Quick tip! I found the party favor bag from the wedding aisle at Party City. If you want pretty, but still in the cute category… check there! I used these bags in the gold for my daughter’s 10th birthday party as well!
We had a very successful birthday party here for my daughter’s 6th birthday party. If you’ve got a little girl who just adores bunnies like mine, they will love a cute bunny birthday party! I hope everything that you’ve seen here are helpful. Thank you so much for visiting my blog. See you in the next one!
