Sternwheeler Playground At The Columbia River Gorge

It’s Travel Tuesday and it’s time for another chapter of the Playground Discovery series! Playgrounds, playgrounds, playgrounds! Oh, how much we love you so. We found this playground by accident while visiting the Marine Park over at the Columbia Gorge in Cascade Locks, Oregon. This place was really close, like four minutes away to the KOA we were staying at! We initially were just going for a day at a park and exploring what’s around there, but it was pretty cool when the first thing we saw was the playground. Happy kids? I may say so.

I love playgrounds like these, they are just so colorful and fun. There are many play structures for bigger kids but there is also a small part for the little kids as well.

My son has become such a climber and I’ve noticed that he’s been trying to practice more and more whenever we visit a playground. I love climbing structures because it teaches the kids to think and requires concentration.

This one is my oldest daughter’s favorite. I mean, I don’t even know how she does all these random tricks but I’m super proud!

This part of the play structures is for the little kids! My youngest daughter is five, but she still likes to go on the little slides. She always assumes that the slides are way too fast when they’re really not. Gotta take the first step, and then she just ends up sliding over and over like a million times.

There was so many people fishing here it was insane! There were RV sites as well and people just camping close by at the campground. Did I mention there was a whole lot of people along both sides just fishing? I don’t think I’ve seen that before and it was very interesting to see! Gosh, I need to get out more.

You know what that means… droppings everywhere. I swear it felt like we were jumping over those poopy droplets everywhere we go.

columbia river gorge cascade locks, orI love to explore special places with my family. It’s so nice to just be out and about experiencing different types of scenery and playgrounds. The view is so gorgeous in Cascade Locks, Oregon. The PNW may rain most of the year, but when it comes to Spring and Summer… the beauty really comes out. I just can’t help to realize the wonderful creation of our God. He is so good to all of us and I love to sit at my special place in my mind to thank Him for all the goodness. The best things always come in unexpected ways – just like the super cute playground we found! I hope you had fun discovering this playground with us and thank you so much for stopping by!

I love a good playground! I try to take my nephew to as many as I can when I’m stateside with him. This one looks like a blast! If you ever travel to Munich, there’s a great playground inside of the zoo. 🙂
