This past weekend was my son’s seventh birthday and he is one who LOVES monster trucks! He went to a monster jam once before with his papa a couple of years ago in Portland. This time though, the whole family attended this event and its at the Tacoma Dome. This is a fun family event that isn’t one to miss and its fun for boys and girls.  Read more to see what Monster Jam has to offer!

There were a lot of monster trucks competing, that’s something I didn’t know and was pleasantly surprised! It was fun to see the different designs on their trucks. It was also very fun to watch the audience root for their favorite monster trucks in their own specific hand gestures. Like the zombie flailing hand and the bull fingers. One of my own personal monster truck drivers are the Earth Shaker and Grave Digger!

One thing to note that you MUST bring are ear protections because ooh boy, do they get loud! These ones are great for children so you don’t have to mess with the foam ear ones. Their ears are so tiny that it might fall out, so these ones that you see above is the best option!

I believe there were four or five tournaments and each monster truck compete for the highest score. In the tacoma dome, I think no matter where you sit, you will have a great view! They also close the seatings that are too close to the tournament area for safety reasons and I very much appreciate that.

I think this part of the event was the most fun. I love how they chose to do this to include the crowd to vote for the winner for that specific round. It keeps the crowd engaged, and if you have kids… this is a huge winner! All my children enjoyed taking turns voting, even my little five year old!

Monster Jam was definitely a highlight for my son’s birthday. It’s an event that not only he can enjoy, but for the rest of the family. I had no idea what to expect as this was my first Monster Jam event but I had a wonderful time! I found myself extremely engaged to all the different monster trucks and I can’t wait for next year. Our fun factor for this event: 5/5!!! Thank you so much for visiting my blog and until next time!
