The time for sweater weather has come and not only does that alone gives me great joy, but what comes along with it is even more fun! Decorating for the Fall season gives my home such a cozy feel and it’s like an introduction for Thanksgiving that soon follows. In this post, I’ll be showing you a few stores I usually go to for fall decorations and some tips on how to find great deals!
The first store that I recently found out sells amazing decorations for Fall is Cracker Barrel. I am familiar with the restaurant when my family used to live in Texas. The food is so good, you guys but I never knew that they had an online store as well. This was a really great find as they had super cute decorations!
I love signs. I love, LOVE wall decor especially when it is signs with wordings. This is the easiest way to make a house a home. This Autumn Blessings wooden sign is so unique in my opinion as it is also on galvanized metal that gives it such a rustic vintage look. These decorations make my foyer area have such a welcoming feel to it!
This is seriously us. We’re all nuts for Fall… This is actually a wall decor that you can hang, but I am loving it next to the metal pumpkin and the little ceramic pumpkin. Last but not least from Cracker Barrel is this pumpkin spice candle. I can’t even begin how to explain this scent but it’s a fragrance that is so soothing and smells delicious at the same time. I love pumpkin spice, like a lot. Starbucks, pumpkin spice latte here I come.
FUN TIP: The brown mats that you see there are actually placemats for your dinner table. We don’t use these for our tables anymore, but makes a great addition to the decorations. Multi-use, right?
Now that you know that Cracker Barrel has some great decorations, moving on to my other favorite store! In my life, I have only visited Hobby Lobby probably once…. until a store opened up really close to me. Under twenty minutes close, now that is what I consider a blessing!
This hallway area was empty for more than a year now. I knew I wanted some place for my albums because I have tons of photo albums. So there the idea started to unfold… A memory wall! Its within our living room area, but not so much that it takes over the room because it’s behind it.
I found literally almost everything that you see here at Hobby Lobby. I wanted a natural color for the table and since they ALWAYS have 30% off furniture, I knew I had to grab this table. That’s the thing about Hobby Lobby, if you know you had something on your list for a year, you grab it because if you don’t…. say bye until they get a restock. This sofa table was the only one of its color that I saw in my local store.
FUN TIP: Hobby Lobby offers a 40% off one item on NON-discounted item that you can use DAILY. I thought it was one coupon per week, but nope. It’s daily – which is so. so. awesome. I used it on that beautiful distressed white crate over there since it was my most expensive item.
We can have all the fall decorations we want, but without signs, they are just decorations without any personalization. Add your own personal heartfelt spin to your decoration by adding a felt letter board.
This is the size Speech board, size 16×20 by Felt Like Sharing which is the largest size they offer! This is amazing if you have a lot to say. I have a lot to say, by the way. SPEECH! No worries, they’ve got smaller sizes that Pamela just came out with if you don’t want a big sign called the Chatter, a 12×16 and Abbrev, tiny size of 3.5×10!
This quote is perfection for this wall. I like to call it our Memory Lane which is fitting since it’s a hallway! When you buy with Felt Like Sharing, the board comes with letters.
Recently, I was befriended on Instagram by Words With Means… and wow, was I so happy to find her Etsy shop! I think Heather (owner) loves RaeDunn because the font of these letters totally remind me of it! I chose the color bronze because I really wanted to turn my felt boards to have subtle fall colors. These colored 2 inch letters are great to give a pop to your quotes.
HELPFUL TIP: Choose small shops for things like these! Both Felt Like Sharing and Words With Means are run by work at home mamas who created their store from the ground up. Small shops are great because these ladies pour their heart and soul to their creations and you know you’re going to receive quality items.
Even though some things CAN be fall decorations, it’s kind of not. This white crate and this buffalo basket that I use to store my photo albums are super cute but it’s not necessarily fall colors. It’s really easy to turn anything into fall themed just by adding pumpkin picks! I love how the colors are within the fall theme but they’re muted so it wont overpower your furniture or organization. Even better, that these types of decor is usually very affordable.
HELPFUL TIP: Check your local Hobby Lobby to see if they have your decorations there. I will always link what I can in this blog, but usually online will always sell out first. There’s so many people that can shop online but there’s much less people that will go to your store in comparison. Your best bet for specific things is to go to your store!
My dining room never really changes. I use the same mats and table runners for all seasons. I’m not really one to buy different ones for different seasons! I stick to a neutral color that can be dressed up to whatever season it is. Add fall leaves and a whole bunch of pumpkins on your table and call it a day!
In the flower vase, I did not take out my white flowers but I added a few fall colored leaves to give it an Autumn feel. The same goes with my plates. I don’t have fall color plates, but instead added PUMPKINS. They’re so cute, you guys. These burlap pumpkins are also from Hobby Lobby in a basket on the bottom shelf. So easily missed, but I was so lucky I had Mimi with me when I went shopping because she found these for me. Cute little things found by cute little Mimi. Aw!
Do you have a corner shelf in your dining room? I did the same here, added a few leaves… and an apple to support my felt board quote. Felt boards are great solutions to any room. They’re simple, meaningful, and not to mention extremely nice to look at! This is the felt board size 10×10 called the memo!
FUN TIP: Search instagram hashtags and even search on google images to find cute quotes for any occasion, then put your own creative spin to fit to your needs!
Garlands is such an easy way to dress up your kitchen, Three items made my kitchen fall themed. Hobby Lobby have many of them to choose from, but depending on what you choose… it can be expensive. I think I saw some that were seventy dollars, but these ones are $9.99! Make sure you check price tags!
Pumpkin picks are amazing, I literally just plop them on the ends of the garland and immediately finished off the look so fast!
I think you’re getting the idea now, right? GOBBLE GOBBLE! By the way… have you heard of a butter bell? I was SHOOK when I didn’t realize what I bought at Target. I wanted a cute butter storage for my non-butter vegan butter and have no idea what I bought when I opened it. Literally, WHAT? But google always helps me figure stuff out. Now I have a special place for my room temperature vegan butter. Another reason why I love cold seasons, nothing melts.
Speaking of Target, my third store but definitely not the least. I love their dollar spot even though sometimes they’re not really a dollar but like $1, $3, and $5 they are deals! I found all of these there throughout the years and I keep them because they’re so cute and such a find. I know bunnies are for spring, but we love bunnies that they’re here all year. Just ask Kiki.
Have additional areas that you don’t want to go all out decorating, but would like to add in little things here and there? This natural burlap and fall pick is all you need for the top of the fireplace. It’s a cute skirt for the TV!
Add a pumpkin on any room to add a little touch! This is my mudroom that I like to leave alone but like to add a pumpkin here and there.
if you have extra items that do not fit anywhere else, they can be placed in your front porch! Also a fun tip: I have a small chalk board that I sometimes put on that table, and this is also a nice way to greet your guests or have something nice for your mailman or woman to see!
I hope you enjoyed these tips on how and where to decorate for Fall! The last Hobby Lobby tips I can share with you is that each week, they have different things that will be going on sale. Download the Hobby Lobby app on your phone to see which are on sale for the week and plan your trip! These are to help you save money while still buying great quality products! Woooo, happy mamas. Thank you so much for visiting and until next time!
