Wildwood Playground In Puyallup!

Hello, Friends! It’s time for Travel Tuesday! Wildwood Park in Puyallup, Washington is REALLY nice. If you live close by or visiting this area… this park is not one to miss! There’s lots of good things here like how it’s super shaded so when it’s hot, you can totally have a place to cool off. Isn’t this Lemonade Stand so cute? Mimi ran up to this and started to pretend making some lemonades to sell.

WILDWOOD PARK PUYALLUP, WAWe like to park in the closest parking lot and what I mean by that is when we enter the park, we keep driving straight past the caretaker’s house and park at the parking spot you see there. It’s basically a dead end so you cant miss it. There is a stairway to lead to the playground as you see here! You can also technically park closer to the playground if you don’t want to use the stairs, but there will be a bunch of windy roads to get there, haha.

This playground is recommended for ages 5-12 but since this playground has a side for smaller children, in my opinion… even kids as young as two or three like my nephew can play safely here. Of course, with a parent close by!

This side is for the smaller children. There are three ways to go up to this play structure, but notice the one on the far right! It makes it easy for younger kids. There are two slides and a fun tunnel. I notice that the tunnel is pretty much the kids’ favorite!

I think this is probably the only playground we’ve played in that has super wide slides like this. Two kids can go at a time! Woo hoo!

Let’s go to the bigger kids side! This one is pretty much playground heaven for my oldest. She is basically part monkey because she LOVES monkey bars. My daughter loves this because it’s fun, but it’s challenging as well.

My son on the other hand is a slider. He loves to go on slides ALL THE TIME. I’ve got a tunneler, monkey bar lover, and slider man. This slide as we like to call it, a swirly slide! It’s fun to go down, but also super fun… and challenging to go up! Yes, I know that kids technically are not supposed to go up the slides if there are other kids around, but this time we went… NO KIDS! FREEDOM!

What makes this playground unique is that there is a nice stream RIGHT next to the playground. My kids loooooove throwing rocks into the water and the way this is set up, you seriously DO NOT have to watch them like a hawk in fear of them just walking into the water. You can have one kid in the playground and the other kids on this side and have absolutely no problem. Just sit in the middle and you can watch all at the same time.

There are four benches total in this playground, two next to the big kids side and two near the smaller kids side. You see the surrounding forest around this playground? There is so much more! We recently explored one of the walking trails this week and it is legit like walking in the forest, haha. Don’t worry its safe for kids as we had ages 2-9 exploring with us! When I was driving around, I saw two more entrances to more walking trails. There are lots of picnic tables as well and they are covered! I’m not too sure, but it seems like they use this park as a camping area for boys & girls scouts? Check out this map! Thank you so much for stopping by and until next time!
